Hello to all on Scotfam. Very pleased and encouraged to find this site- courtesy of Discovering Scotland Mag. In the past I have logged into Talking Scot, but have to admit I was easily confused with it and gave up using it- information overload possibly. Researching my family history for some years now- now reaching the hard part. Father;s side a mix of Ayrshire families (Weir) and Irish, Co. Down (Sturgeon). Mother's side, Aberdeen, shire, Stonehaven- Moir and Mitchell. No doubt I will have questions to ask, but for the moment will just get used to the site for now. Happy to answer questions or help if I can.
