Hi all,

Have just watched the MEET on livestream. Very Happy Very Happy

The thing that came across so much was the friendly atmosphere, some of you had never met before yet you all looked like you had been friends for years. Thats the beauty of SFT.

The speeches so informative you all did really well, Evelyns maiden speech was sooo good, though I keep seeing bananas for some reason noo lol lol lol

It was lovely to put faces to names, and the fact some made it from other parts of the world says it all about our friendly forum.

Noo aboot thae teabags innocent whistling

Tried to watch the video on livestream this morning but it keeps pausing every 3 secs or so. It will take me about 3 weeks to see it at that rate!!!
What am I doing wrong or do I need any special equipment to view??
Cheers

Hi Peetee,It all depends on your broadband connection, try closing all other tabs on your browser. When you first connect to the channel, give your comp. a few seconds for it to synchronise with the channel.Hope this helps.

I had the same problem last night peetee. It turned out to be my broadband connection having a wee 'go slow'. It was OK later on.

I've just been looking at the photos of the AGM . They're excellent. I also had a go at looking at the SFT TV. There must be something not quite right with my broadband connection as I kept getting little interruptions. It's very impressive, though. I'll try it again tomorrow

I'm afraid my broadband doesn't do what it says on the tin... I've not yet been able to see anything more than the first few frames. I'll need to prevail upon a friend in a different part of town to have a look next time I visit.

Steve,

mine too, I switched to wireless mobile broadband recently because of it's convenience but the speed is awful and the drop outs regular. I don't get past Tireetams intro. The broadband is generally awful in oz, you have to pay a fortune for the good stuff, it's very frustrating. Low population spread over vast distances is the problem in oz.

Jock is there any chance of a downloadable version of the meet as an avi or mpeg? That would help out us bandwidth challenged types.

Thanks Jock,

finally got to see the whole thing. One suggestion though, Steve should be banned from all future raffles cos he's just too jammy lol lol lol Did Tireetam and TC practice that reciprocal prizes routine for very long. They had it down pat......lol lol lol

Looks like it was a memorable day for all concerned.

You'll just have to be at the next one, Michael!!!
Come to that, maybe we should have a separate raffle for the ones who can't attend?

Oh I'd love that Christine,

it's only a longshot at the moment but if I can manage it I will be there. Must say it's probably unlikely, lots of ifs and buts. An overseas based members raffle is a nice idea though.
