I've been researching my family history for some years and always welcome a source of new information. When in Scotland I'm Edinburgh based with access to all the primary osurces and willing to help anyone who asks, if I can.
My principal geographic interests are the areas where my family can be traced to; The Lothians and Stirlingshire. Family names include Dougall, Pentland and Shuttleton plus more mor regularly encountered names than one might shake a stick at. I also have a special interest in seventeenth century and earlier mining and the genealogy research methods.
