The Healthiest Town in Scotland!
An extract from "The Baillie" from Wednesday June 25th 1873. Having read "Dyers are requested to keep away from Paisley" he (our intrepid reporter) intends giving up his lodgings in the "Bell o the Brae" and proposes taking up a garret in the "Causeyside". He wants to live for as long as he can and becoming an inhabitant of the town where dying has entirely stopped. :) Now that is an old joke, one hundred and thirty five years old to be precise! Can you tell that I had nothing much to look up at the Mitchell today!!
